This is the workflow that turns a customer's burst hose into a line on an order. Write the specification first, in plain terms, and only then convert it into a supplier part number. Working the other way round — starting with a part number someone half remembers — is where wrong orders come from.

Writing the specification
Specification ရေးနည်း
One line, always in the same order: hose bore × thread × seat × angle.

Converting to a part number

The five digits are built from what you measured, in this order. The full tables are in the series-code article.

So 6 × M14×1.5 C 90° on two-wire hose becomes 30791-14×1.5-04, and decoding that back gives a female swivel, metric thread, 74° cone, 90° elbow, braid hose, M14×1.5 on 6 mm — which is what was written down.

Two traps in the dash numbers

Where a fitting carries only one dash, both sizes are the same: 87612-08 is a 1/2 inch flange on 13 mm hose.
Vendor code and internal code are not the same thing

Order from the supplier using the supplier's part number. Use the internal stock code for the shelf and the invoice. Never send an internal code to a supplier and never quote a supplier code as a stock reference — they are different numbering systems that happen to describe the same object.

What the part number does not tell you
အမှတ်စဉ်က မပြောသော အရာများ
The code identifies the connection. It does not decide whether the assembly suits the job. Before the order goes out, establish the working pressure including surges, the fluid and its temperature, the environment, and the routing. Those come from the customer and the machine.
