1. General Questions About HIFI Filters
Q: What is HIFI and where are HIFI filters made?
HIFI is a dedicated filtration brand. HIFI filters are manufactured to OEM factory standards and imported from overseas. Win Store is the authorised distributor of HIFI filters in Myanmar. For full brand information, see H01.
Q: Are HIFI filters genuine OEM parts?
HIFI filters are aftermarket filters manufactured to match OEM specifications and quality standards. They are not sourced from the vehicle manufacturer but are designed to meet or exceed the same performance criteria. They are suitable for use during the normal service period without affecting vehicle warranty, as aftermarket parts are widely accepted under standard consumer protection frameworks.
Q: Will using a HIFI filter void my vehicle warranty?
No. Using an aftermarket filter of equivalent specification does not void a vehicle manufacturer warranty under normal circumstances. Always ensure the correct HIFI code is used for your vehicle. If you are uncertain, consult your service workshop before installation.
Q: How do HIFI filters compare to dealer-supplied OEM filters?
HIFI filters are engineered to meet OEM specifications in terms of filtration efficiency, flow rate, pressure rating, and physical dimensions. They offer a cost-effective alternative to dealer-supplied parts while maintaining equivalent filtration performance.
Q: How many HIFI filter models does Win Store carry?
Win Store currently stocks 94 HIFI filter SKUs: 26 oil filters (HO/HOP/HV series), 46 air filters (HAP series), 19 fuel filters (HF/HFC series), and 3 cabin air filters (HAC series). See H06 for the complete listing.
2. Part Number & Compatibility Questions
Q: How do I find the correct HIFI filter for my vehicle?
The best method is to use your existing OEM part number and match it in the H06 Cross-Reference Table. Alternatively, use your vehicle make, model, year, and engine code to search with the Win Store team. See H07 for the full identification guide.
Q: My OEM number is not in the H06 table. What should I do?
If your OEM number is not listed, it may mean a compatible HIFI filter is not yet in the current range, or the OEM number format may vary slightly. Contact the Win Store team with your OEM number and vehicle details — we can check whether a compatible filter exists or is available by special order.
Q: What is the difference between HF and HFC fuel filters?
HF codes are inline fuel filters that connect directly to fuel lines at both ends. HFC codes are cartridge or canister type filters that fit into a separate housing. The two types are not interchangeable. Always confirm the type required for your vehicle before ordering.
Q: What vehicle makes are covered by HAP-1xxx, HAP-2xxx, and HAP-3xxx air filters?
As a general guide: HAP-1xxx covers Toyota vehicles; HAP-2xxx covers Nissan and Subaru vehicles; HAP-3xxx covers Honda, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, and other makes. However, this is a general grouping — always confirm with your OEM number for your specific model and year.
Q: Does my vehicle have a cabin air filter?
Not all vehicles have a cabin air filter. It depends on whether the HVAC system includes a filter housing. Check your vehicle owner manual, or ask the Win Store team. HIFI HAC series cabin filters are currently available for select Toyota and Nissan models — see H05 for details.
3. Ordering & Availability Questions
Q: How can I order HIFI filters?
HIFI filters can be ordered through the Win Store website (winautoparts.com), by phone or Viber, or by visiting the showroom in person. Workshop accounts with bulk pricing are also available — contact the sales team for details.
Q: What if the filter I need is out of stock?
If a specific filter is temporarily out of stock, the Win Store team can advise on expected restock timing or check whether a compatible alternative is available. Submit a request through the Help Center or contact us by phone.
Q: Does Win Store offer delivery?
Delivery availability and coverage areas are subject to change. Please contact the Win Store sales team or check the website for the current delivery options and areas served.
Q: Can I order filters in bulk for my workshop?
Yes. Win Store supports workshop bulk orders with tiered pricing. See H08 (Promotions & Special Offers) for current bulk pricing structure, or contact the sales team directly to discuss your workshop requirements.
4. Installation Troubleshooting
Q: The new oil filter will not thread on correctly. What should I do?
Stop immediately and do not force the installation. Possible causes include: (1) incorrect filter model — the thread pitch or diameter does not match; (2) debris on the mounting thread; (3) the old filter gasket was left behind on the engine block. Remove the filter, clean the mounting surface, check you have the correct HIFI code, and retry.
Q: There is an oil leak from the new oil filter. What should I check?
Switch off the engine immediately if the leak is significant. Common causes: (1) the filter was not tightened sufficiently — the correct torque is hand-tight plus 3/4 turn; (2) the old rubber gasket was not removed and two gaskets are now stacked; (3) the filter gasket was not lubricated with oil before installation. Drain the oil, remove the filter, and reinstall correctly.
Q: The air filter lid will not close properly. What is wrong?
Check that the filter element is seated correctly in the housing frame and lying flat. If the filter is bowing or lifted at one corner, it is not seated properly. Also confirm the new filter dimensions match the old one — an incorrect model may be slightly too large. Do not force the lid closed as this can crack the airbox housing.
Q: There is a hissing or whistling sound from the engine after air filter replacement. What does this mean?
This typically indicates an air leak at the filter housing seal. Open the airbox and check: (1) all clips are fully engaged; (2) the filter element is seated flat with all edges contacting the housing; (3) the intake duct connection to the airbox is secure. A poorly seated filter allows unfiltered air to enter the engine, which can cause long-term engine wear.
5. Performance & Symptoms
| Symptom | Likely Filter Cause | Recommended Action |
| Engine oil pressure warning light | Blocked or incorrect oil filter | Stop engine. Check oil level and filter. Contact workshop. |
| Reduced engine power or acceleration | Blocked air filter restricting airflow | Inspect and replace HAP air filter |
| Black smoke from exhaust | Severely blocked air filter causing rich mixture | Replace HAP air filter immediately |
| Hard starting or engine hesitation | Blocked or failed fuel filter | Inspect and replace HF/HFC fuel filter |
| Engine surging or stuttering at speed | Fuel filter restricting flow at high demand | Replace HF/HFC fuel filter |
| Musty smell from AC vents | Saturated or mouldy cabin filter | Replace HAC cabin filter |
| Reduced AC airflow inside cabin | Blocked cabin filter | Inspect and replace HAC cabin filter |
| Increased fuel consumption | Blocked air or fuel filter | Check both HAP and HF/HFC filters |
|
📘 Note The symptoms above can also have causes unrelated to filters. If replacing the filter does not resolve the symptom, consult a qualified workshop technician for further diagnosis.

Q: What is the warranty on HIFI filters?
HIFI filters are covered by Win Store warranty against manufacturing defects. For the full warranty policy, terms, and claim process, see H11 (Warranty & Quality Assurance Policy).
Q: I received the wrong filter. How do I exchange it?

Q: How do I submit a support request if my question is not answered here?
Submit a request via the Win Store Help Center at support.winautoparts.com. Provide your vehicle details, the HIFI code in question, and a description of the issue. Our team aims to respond within 1 business day.
