WBC brake pads are the semi-metallic pad in the WBC range, built for heavy vehicles, trucks and towing work. This guide covers the friction compound, how it performs under heat and load, and which vehicles it fits.
Diagram: Brake pad in section. Measure only the friction material against the minimum thickness line — the backing plate is not part of the usable thickness.

Composition: 30%–70% metal alloys (steel, copper, iron) blended with graphite lubricant and friction modifiers
Performance: Excellent stopping power across wide temperature range — handles heavy loads and repeated hard braking
Best For: Trucks, SUVs, pickup trucks, commercial vans, Coaster buses — any vehicle carrying heavy loads
Rotor Wear: Slightly higher than ceramic — recommended to replace rotors at the same time if heavily worn
Dust Level: Moderate brake dust — more than ceramic but acceptable for most commercial applications
Includes: Anti-squeal shim included in every set — must be installed between pad backing and caliper piston. Reduces noise and vibration.
Heat Resistance: Withstands extreme heat — ideal for mountain roads, heavy towing, and Coaster/bus routes
Stopping Power: Maximum braking force — shorter stopping distances even when fully loaded
Cold Weather: Works effectively from cold start — no warm-up period required
Cost: Generally more affordable than ceramic — better value for commercial and heavy-duty use
Durability: Excellent wear resistance under heavy-duty conditions and frequent braking cycles

⚠ Installation Note: Always replace brake pads in AXLE SETS (both left and right). Never replace only one side.
Rotor Inspection: Check rotor thickness when replacing pads. Minimum thickness is stamped on the rotor edge.
Break-in Period: Perform 5–8 moderate stops from 50 km/h to bed-in new semi-metallic pads for optimal performance.
